Isreli scientists have produced a self-assembling nano-transistor. Of some 45 carbon nano-tubes, over one third of them were able to self-assemble by attaching themselves to target areas of DNA strands, which were then used as conductors. Nano-technology research is starting to look very promising. I wonder how long it will be before 'object' is no longer a generic term...

I have also stumbled upon a browser emulator that allows you to re-experience the glory days of the internet from the perspective of a text or line-mode browser, such as Lynx or Mosaic. That's one way to block popups, I suppose.

Seeing as how I'm on holidays now, I thought it fitting to link to a few amusing Flash games. Firstly, Whizzball is an excellent little puzzle game that threatens to vanquish hours of existence into a sea of brightly coloured mechanical pieces. A word of warning, though - to complete the puzzles, you need to use all the pieces available (which, in some puzzles, is the most difficult task). Secondly, this trampoline game is rather bizarre.
