First up, a hilarious , showcasing the finest Seuss parodies of the web. My favourites are , , , and - of course - (rather amusing).
Isreli scientists have produced a self-assembling . Of some 45 carbon nano-tubes, over one third of them were able to self-assemble by attaching themselves to target areas of DNA strands, which were then used as conductors. Nano-technology research is starting to look very promising. I wonder how long it will be before 'object' is no longer a generic term...
I have also stumbled upon a that allows you to re-experience the glory days of the internet from the perspective of a text or line-mode browser, such as Lynx or Mosaic. That's one way to block popups, I suppose.
Seeing as how I'm on holidays now, I thought it fitting to link to a few amusing Flash games. Firstly, is an excellent little puzzle game that threatens to vanquish hours of existence into a sea of brightly coloured mechanical pieces. A word of warning, though - to complete the puzzles, you need to use all the pieces available (which, in some puzzles, is the most difficult task). Secondly, this is rather bizarre. Finally, this week's is here, in all its glory.
