It’s that time of year again, and not even lawyers are immune from the occasional affliction of seasonal cheer and vim. However, like many cultural phenomena that involve mass participation in a shared rite or spectacle, certain catch phrases are heard uttered more commonly than is reasonable, causing varying degrees of consternation to those with a particularly low tolerance for linguistic mindlessness. Sometimes I get curious about who reads this blog. Judging by the number of *.unimelb.edu.au and *.uq.edu.au visitors, I suspect that you’re mostly law students looking for notes. Am I wrong?
