The Melbourne Mini Debating Tournament began today, and has so far been an interesting learning experience. Speaking for 8 minutes about a highly political topic without preparation has really highlighted my ignorance about global issues, leading to some rather odd cases (and doubly weak models) being proposed. We played cricket after the conclusion of the second round.
