Though the body appears to be tinted red, it's actually more of a yellow-orange colour. The violin is French in origin (in case you didn't already notice) and quite a nice instrument. I have been playing on it since March of this year, when I 'upgraded' from my old 3/4 size fiddle. Taking this closeup photo has reminded me that I need to realign the bridge and change the 'E' string. Oh, and practice more. :-)
